Here we grow again! Goose the Market is accepting applications for two new positions: a full-time Shift Supervisor and a part-time Meat Monger.

Shift Supervisor is a full-time, salaried position. Responsibilities of this leadership roll include: 

• all supervisory responsibilities including upholding high service standards and Goose guest satisfaction 
• be firm, fair, and consistent in staff management including providing positive feedback and corrective measures when needed
• understand and use cash register system 
• oversee purchase order system as well as lead staff in creatively curating products and displays
• maintain high sanitation standards
• and more

The Shift Supervisor must:

• have or get an alcohol beverage service permit 
• have or get ServSafe certification 
• effectively communicate product knowledge and train staff
• be proactive rather than reactive 
• remain calm, cool, and collected at all times 
• lead by example in uniform, attitude, and work ethic

UPDATE: POSITION HAS BEEN FILLEDMeat Mongers assist customers in all areas of the market though their work focuses on 18 feet of meat: our fresh meat case's cornucopia of poultry, pork, beef, game, sausages, smoked meats and more. Duties of this hourly, part-time position include:

• greet guests and receive orders
• effectively communicate to customers the tempting details of a quickly rotating selection of products
• cut and package orders
 make sandwiches and cheese + charcuterie boards
• maintain organization and cleanliness
• plus more!

Since every Smoking Goose recipe begins on the farm, we're proud to begin this holiday special with Berkshire hogs raised on pasture and fed on apples, walnuts, acorns, and non-gmo grain at Cameron Farms in Lebanon, Indiana.

After hand-trimming these whole-muscle hams, we cured them under a dry rub spiked with vanilla beans and allspice. To highlight this delicious pork and holiday spice, each ham smoked slow and low over sweet pecan wood.

Trees and halls aren't the only things that should get trimmed this time of year. Decorate your Pecan-Smoked Heritage Ham with the house-made Indiana Sorghum and Indiana Apple Cider Glaze we include with each ham.
